Gov. Jon Corzine gave his state of the state speech the other day and I think he is proposing changes that are too late and too little. Currently New Jersey has $32 billion dollars [...]

Last month Otis Blunt and Jose Espinosa escaped from the Union County Jail. Their escape has been compared to the Shawshank Redemption escape. According to an article in Newsweek by Jeffrey Gold, the Union County Jail guard, who was named in a letter left by two inmates who escaped in a fashion similar to the jailbreak in the Shawshank Redemption, commited suicide today.
“A guard who was named in a cheeky thank-you note left by two inmates when they [...]

New Jersey and Eminent Domain….What a Crock.
December 30th, 2007 · No Comments · Gripes, New Jersey
My understanding of eminent domain has been that the local or federal government could appropriate your property for public use such as roads, public buildings or hospitals in exchange for just compensation to the owner. Hospitals and roads are typically projects that are created for the greater good. In 2005 the Supreme Court made a decision in [...]
Grocery Stores in New Jersey

I hate going to the grocery store in New Jersey. I miss my HEB/Central Market from Texas, my Harris Teeter from Georgia, and my Ukrops from Virginia. We have Whole Foods, or Whole Paycheck as my husband calls it. I like organic, healthy products, but not when it triples my grocery bill for the month. We [...]
