I always feel a tinge of remorse when a book is referenced that I have not read but feel that I should have read. I have been reading for 28 years and at the rate in which I read books, I feel guilty that there are so many that I have not gotten to. That is why I am in love with DailyLit. DailyLit is a service that will email you a book by installments. You select the book and the time of day you want to receive their emails. They email you an installment each day and if you have time or interest you can prompt it to send the next installment early. The emails are intended to be read in about five minutes. I am reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice is broken into 149 installments. If I only read an installment a day, it would take 5 months, 1 week and 2 days to finish Pride and Prejudice. There are some days when I read 3 or 4 installments in a sitting. It won’t take me 5 months to finish the book, but by breaking it down like this I am reading a book that I kept putting off for another time. You might not find the time to read a novel but everyone can read one email a day! Public domain books are free but if you select a book with a copyright there is a fee. I love holding a book and finding a quiet place to read. Who knows maybe by reading a book via email it will prompt me to grab a hard copy to re-read.
