I fell in love with Jane Jenni mugs back in March. I was shopping at the Mod Cottage in Rehoboth Beach and they had a nice selection of her mugs. So I bought this one for myself for Christmas. This just cracks me up.

Munich, Germany
November 30th, 2008 · No Comments
Pete and I are having a wonderful time in Munich. We arrived yesterday at 10:30am local time. We got no sleep on the plane, so we decided to just stay awake for 33 hours straight to get on a normal sleep patern. We have wandered around the Christmas market, eaten curry wurst and Dumpfnudel, and [...]

Pete and I leave for Munich on Friday! We are going to spend two weeks in southern Germany and parts of Austria. I can’t wait. My family was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany for four and a half years from 1988 to 1993. I have such wonderful memories of Germany, especially at Christmas time. [...]

My Brain is on a Vacation
November 21st, 2008 · No Comments
We leave for vacation in one week. My brain however has decided to start its vacation earlier. I am sick once again. I have a sinus infection. Last night I ate dinner at 10:00pm because dinner arrived at JFK via Austin at 7:45pm. Our friend Matt is in town for business and he was so awesome to bring all of us brisket, sausage, ribs, and sauce from Rudy’s Barbecue. We watched the Texas Tech/Oklahoma State game while waiting. Talk about heaven! Only [...]

My friend Nicole took her 4 year old son James with her to vote yesterday. Upon arriving at the registration table, a volunteer asked Nicole for her name. Thinking that the volunteer was talking to him, James proudly recited his full name. The volunteer explained that he needed his mom’s name because she [...]

12 Days of Christmas Napkins
November 4th, 2008 · No Comments
I spotted these napkins last week in the Williams Sonoma catalog and had to have them. I cashed in some of our American Express reward points for a Williams Sonoma gift card. I went out this morning, voted, and then took my niece to Williams Sonoma to pick up these napkins. One of Pete’s fondest [...]
